God is blessing His Word with the establishment and growth of indigenous national Lutheran Church bodies. Please join us in praying that God will lead His people in the formation of Church bodies in other Southeast Asian countries.
The Thailand Concordia Lutheran Church (TCLC) was formed in October of 2004 and is a long-term ministry partner with The Garuna Foundation. In Thailand, there are currently 10 Lutheran congregations and several preaching stations with a baptized membership of nearly 600 persons. God is certainly blessing the ministry and the leaders of the TCLC.
The Garuna Foundation assists the ministry of the TCLC with projects that help develop the infrastructure of the church, pastoral training (LISA), training seminars for church leaders, and evangelism & outreach projects.
The Cambodia Lutheran Church (CLC) is a partner in ministry with the Garuna Foundation. The CLC has approximately 15 congregations and 29 preaching stations, with nearly 1,700 members of all ages. The congregations are located throughout several provinces in Cambodia. God is certainly blessing the ministry of the CLC and its leaders.
The CLC was formed on February 1st, 2020, at a meeting in the capital city of Phnom Penh. The Garuna Foundation has assisted the CLC with projects that help with development of the infrastructure of the church, Bible teaching (LISA), the Garuna Christian School system, and various evangelism & outreach projects. Please keep this emerging Church in your prayers as they face many obstacles and challenges in this nation with a population less than 2% Christian.
