Garuna has a bias toward developing national leadership.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about Garuna's ministries. Garuna has three primary mission emphases:
- A commitment to the training of indigenous (Lutheran) pastors, deaconesses, and leaders through the Luther Institute Southeast Asia (LISA) ministry;
- A commitment to help with the growth and development of indigenous Lutheran Churches; and,
- A commitment to sharing the Good News with children and their families through the Garuna Christian School system.

GCS #7 in Phnom Penh was dedicated on January 7, 2023! 202 students are enrolled at the school where each day they learn of the love of Christ. God blesses our schools with wonderful teachers who share the love of Jesus with the children and their families.
GCS #8 - Siem Reap #2
GCS #8 is the 2nd GCS that Prince of Peace Lutheran Church & School in Fremont, CA has sponsored. Please keep these new students in your prayers. Currently, 186 students are enrolled and learn of Jesus daily. Thank you to our wonderful partners at POP!
GCS #9 - Prey Veng #2
Garuna is extremely happy to partner with nine congregations/schools from Omaha in this GCS #9's exciting ministry of bringing the Good News of Jesus to the children of these villages. We thank God for an initial enrollment of 318 children! Thank you and God Bless!
The harvest is plentiful! Pastor Sao Em, Deaconess Ek Samean , and a friend standing in the rice field that has become the home of GCS #9!

GCS #10 - Kampong Chhnang #2
GCS #10 is the 2nd GCS in Kampong Chhnang Province. Desert Foothills Lutheran Church & School provided the funding for this school--Thank you! Please keep these new students in your prayers. Currently, 170 students are enrolled and learn of Jesus daily.
